Carbon Footprint per Employee
Man Group's carbon footprint per employee remains almost constant since FY'07 following a significant reduction of 44% in FY'06. This is the net effect of the switch to a green tariff electricity supply across all London properties, the installation of a gas powered combined heat and power facility at Sugar Quay and other efficiency initiatives though the increasing air travel reflects the current requirements of the underlying business and is mitigated by greater use of video conferencing facilities.

There are a total of 94 video conference units (rooms with video conference facilities or portable units) globally.

Waste Mix
The data, which is representative of the London offices only, shows an 8% reduction in total waste and an increase in recyclable waste. The mix of recycled waste has increased from 38% to 51%.
